Spezia-Milan: three positive news for Pioli

Coach Stefano Pioli is quite pleased from the last training session with many players recovering in time for Spezia vs AC Milan.

On Saturday evening, AC Milan go on stage against Spezia and the goal will, of course, be another victory. Before the resumption of Europa League and the derby against Inter, the Rossoneri want to hold the top stop in Serie A standings.

For the match against Spezia, Mr. Stefano Pioli will have to play without Davide Calabria suspended and Brahim Diaz injured. However, he will be able to count on Ismael Bennacer and Hakan Calhanoglu. Both should start from the first minute in the next match

Positive news has arrived from Milanello today. Ismael Bennacer has trained with the squad and has fully recovered from a small problem that kept him out against Crotone. As previously mentioned, the former Empoli player should start from the first minute in Spezia-Milan.

Another good news is the improvement in the physical conditions of Simon Kjaer. The Dane has carried out part of today’s training together with the rest of the team and the other part has been personalized work that will soon lead him to fully recover from the muscular problems he had in the past weeks.

Sandro Tonali’s recovery has proceeded well. The Italian is recovering from the hip injury he suffered in the Coppa Italia derby against Inter. Both, Tonali and Kjaer, could be included in the squad list for Spezia-Milan. Pioli will evaluate their conditions in the next sessions on Thursday and Friday and then make a final decision.

Mario Mandzukic is also getting better and continues to work. The Croatian striker still needs to find his best shape after a couple of months out. So far the coach has used him sporadically to put “fuel” in his legs and the former Juventus will soon be at his 100%, ready to make an important contribution for Milan.
